Squadron #1460 is proud to announce the
Raymond V. Joseph Sr. Academic Award.
Award Amount: $500.00 Semi-Annual (2 awards each academic year)
Documented affiliation to the American Legion: Applicant must be able to provided documented relationship to a living or deceased member of American Legion Dpartment of New York, District 8, in good standing.
Letter of intent from student.
Full-time enrollment at an accredited post-secondary educational institution to include but not limited to universities, community colleges, trade school and business institutes.

500 word essay from applicant. The topic of the essay will be Veterans.

Applications must be postmarked by the following deadlines each year:
Applications for Fall Semester are due by July 15th
Applications for Spring Semester are due by December 15th
